Evidence 4 Climate Action

Evidence for Climate Action (E4CA) is a global platform that brings together evaluation functions to share evidence on climate and environmental action. It aims to address climate change and nature-related threats by providing independent, rigorous evidence on what works—and what does not—to inform policy. By convening at strategic events, such as the COP and other global fora, E4CA fosters the sharing of knowledge, methods, and analysis across the evaluation community

Partner organizations contribute financially and substantively to E4CA. These include the German Institute for Development Evaluation, the Independent Evaluation Group of the World Bank Group, the Rockefeller Foundation, the Independent Evaluation Unit of the Global Climate Fund, the Independent Evaluation Office of the Global Environment Fund, the Independent Evaluation Department of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Independent Development Evaluation function of the African Development Bank, Adaptation Fund, Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, the European Evaluation Society, and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

E4CA is implemented by the German Institute for Development (DEval) and the Independent Evaluation Group of the World Bank Group (IEG).
